Our Story

Built from the Ground Up

We stepped off the industrial treadmill to build a real working farm with our own hands, rooted in self-reliance and food sovereignty.

Our Roots

From Consumer to Cultivator

Middle Ground Homestead began with a simple choice: to reclaim our connection to the land and the food we eat. We traded the rush of modern life for the rhythm of the seasons, learning to grow, raise, and build with our own hands in rural Pennsylvania.

This isn't a curated lifestyle; it's a commitment to food sovereignty and a rejection of systems that disconnect us from our sustenance. Every fence post, every seed sown, every animal raised is an act of building genuine freedom.

Our Breeds

Hardy Stock, Real Purpose

As an ARBA registered Silver Fox rabbitry, we focus on robust genetics for dual-purpose stock. Our animals are selected for vigor, growth, and utility, thriving in a working homestead environment. We believe in transparency and the integrity of our breeding lines.

Beyond rabbits, our Middle Ground Color Layers are a specialty egg-laying flock bred for consistent production and resilience. These birds provide the foundation for true egg independence, embodying the spirit of knowing your flock and ensuring your food source.
